6-54pm
Today, apart from half an hour at the Mall, I stayed at home! 🙂 Mike went off to a meeting, so I lazed in bed. Stacey was out and about, so she came over and we had tea and a chat! That was great. Stacey enjoys playing piano…David gives some guidance…
Once Stacey left, and I sensed that time was passing and Mike may be home in the not too distant future, I swung into action. I tidied the bedroom and made the bed…
I cleaned the kitchen, reorganised a counter and swept the patio.
And then Mike conveniently arrived home!
The afternoon I spent reading…oh yes…& I had a sleep! The cat is still around…
Don’t be misled about his sweet countenance – he had just hissed at me!
This evening, Mike & David went to see Star Wars in 3D and I had a quiet evening. I have struggled like crazy to get this blog up. I started at around 2pm and WordPress has been agonisingly slow!
I’ve been reading Exodus 32. When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses, who bought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”
A lot of the instruction God was giving Moses on the mountain had been regarding the amazing plan for Aaron and his sons and the work they would do for God. Meanwhile, down the bottom of the mountain, Aaron really blew it! He listened to these persuasive people and made gods for them, which they all then started worshiping! What was he thinking? Sometimes we do foolish things. We are persuaded to do wrong. We get carried away with the crowd. Meanwhile, God has an amazing plan for us. Don’t ever ever think God has forgotten you. He hasn’t. Don’t get led astray. Keep your eyes firmly fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ. Read His Word. Memorize it. Learn from it.
God bless you loads!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
