A Blog About A Blog…

3-41pm

A few things are happening right now…show prep is done…dinner is planned and cricket is anticipated.  🙂

Today, being a stunning spring day in Cape Town, I went out onto the CCFm balcony just before going downstairs to the studio (my office is on the top floor of the three storey building – studio is on the ground floor). To my amazement, it was light enough for a photo…

That was 5-55am. And so begins a summer of early morning photos. I uploaded it to my Facebook page and will hopefully continue to do so throughout the upcoming months. If you are outside South Africa and on FB, do connect with me! Just drop me a line to say where you are from and that you read my blog. I can’t tell who is reading my blog, but I can see where you are in the world….it’s fascinating to see all sorts of unexpected places…see if you can spot yourself…

Fun hey! When I first started a daily blog, it was December 2009, it was really just to see if I could write every single day. I wondered who, if anyone, would read it. I am interested in people, so I found myself following the lives of random bloggers and was disappointed when they didn’t blog every day. Then I wondered what I would blog about? I’m not an expert at anything and so wouldn’t do a specialist blog. All I can really to think to write about is my everyday life, which to me seems all quite trivial and not very exciting. So then it became a sort of journal about my journey. It would be a reminder to me of what I have done and where I have been and when!  And so my blog has developed into just that. Now, I feel that if I don’t do it, I may lose track of my life! 🙂

Going back to today, it was a long morning. I did music prep for Thursday and Friday, the programme notes for tomorrow’s show and then went to a CCFm staff meeting which ended around 1pm. Then I went to the ATM, drew money and put petrol in my car (so I could get home – my tank was that empty!). After that, it was shopping and finally home by about 2-30pm.

This was the (side) view for 6 minutes at the Kalk Bay roadworks…

Glorious day, hey?!

The Bible verse is an important part of the blog. Not much of this life will last, but there is one thing that will last forever…

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

That’s why I read it!

Yeah!

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
