8 Seconds

There’s one way to ruin the enjoyment of a mince-pie. Overheat it and then take a mouthful! Rapid puffing to try cool down fruit bubbling holes in your tongue takes time.  Mike has found the sweet spot when it comes to heating up a mince-pie. 8 seconds in the microwave is all that is required. Ten is too much. Six is too little.

8 seconds.

It’s a pleasure!

Today has been a lovely day. I kept to routine and went to gym early. Came home, showered, worked for a bit and then David arrived. He and Mike are into cameras and there has been much discussion about what each of them want next. David is looking like something out of the 60s. Love it!

Then I  went to one of our lady’s homes for tea. It was lovely.

This afternoon, it was my first orthodontist appointment since getting my braces. They were tweaked and tightened and I have to see him again in 7 weeks. He explained more of what is going on. Turns out it’s all going to get worse before getting better. It is what it is and it’s not forever. Onward!

#984 of my 1000 thanks – first tightening – not so frightening!

This evening Mike and I watched a bit of TV and now it’s time to wrap up for the night. Got some things planned for this weekend.

Proverbs 12:20

Joy fills hearts that are planning peace!

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

60 minutes on the cross trainer – 5 minutes forward, 5 minutes backwards.

It’s been a hard week at gym with my self-imposed challenge to have 5 sessions with no treadmill or bike. Definitely will be back on both next week, but will also bring in more of the cross-trainer.  I think I may rest both tomorrow and Sunday.

Braces:

Day 31.
