2-05pm
Last night went off very well! Here I am ready to go…
On the journey, I was behind this Boat loaded into the back of a Bantam Bakkie! Funny thing is there were two children in the back as well…
On arrival, I discovered my choice of colour was spot on! I had changed at the last minute without knowing what the colour theme would be…
The decor was fabulous, the company friendly and the food tasty!
Here I am with sisters, Sylvia (L) and Vanessa (R). Vanessa did most of the organisation and it was superb…
Sylvia got Vanessa tuned into the Rise and Shine show! I really had a lovely evening and appreciated meeting many different listeners to CCFm. It gives me the opportunity of seeing their faces and hearing their stories.
That was all last night. This morning dawned and it is now after 2pm and I am still in my pajamas! Mike is luring me outdoors for some exercise. The day was cloudy with some rain. Mike took this fab pic from just inside our bedroom…
Tonight, I go to a meeting at 5pm and then church is at 6pm. Quite clever having a meeting an hour before church, because then it can’t go on for longer than an hour! 🙂
So I’ve been reading Ezekiel. One of the best known verses from Ezekiel is from Chapter 36 vs 26 which says “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
All the prophecies in Ezekiel refer to the need Israel had, but can be applied to each one of us. All God wanted from Israel is obedience. All He asks from us is obedience as well. He offers us a new heart and spirit. We just need to accept it and He will remove from us our heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh. A simple message of redemption buried deep in the Old Testament.
The next verse says, “And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees…”
Sometimes, you need to take a leap of faith in asking God to take over your heart, even if you don’t feel like it or it doesn’t make sense to you. Once done, He puts His Spirit in you and moves you to follow His decrees.
Amazing lesson! The rewards are eternal.
Thank you, Jesus!
In His grip,
Helga xx 🙂 🙂
