Monday
Today was the day…
That was really busy for me. I had three online meetings and a visit to the orthodontist. The latest news is that pretty much my treatment is complete. The Dr is really happy with the outcome. Next steps are to get my implant done which will be a bit more time consuming than first thought. I’m going to see a new guy next Friday for that bit. I’m not sure when the braces will come off, but it won’t be too long before everything is done.
Today was the day of the French drain.
Behind the house there is a trench right up next to the wall which we want to fill with rocks. To prevent water damming up against the house, Mike bought a the pipe that will prevent that from happening…
Once it was in place and covered with a special cloth-like fabric, it was time to fill it up with rocks…Mike and Courage got on with it.
After Courage had left, I finished my work and I then went out back and started throwing rocks into the trench. After a short while, I decided I’d throw in 100 more. When I got to 1oo, I decided to count another 100. When I got to that number, I went to 300 and then called it a day. In the photo above the rocks are now up to just a few inches below the window. I love this mindless kind of work. Pick up a rock and throw it down. Don’t hit the window!
The trench needs to be filled so we can make way for scaffolding to safely go up behind the house to reach the roof. When windless days come, we will be able to get the 27 solar panels up onto the roof. That’s where we are headed with this. Today Courage also did the tiling on David’s backsplash. It looks great.
After a dinner of left-overs, I had a wonderful hot shower and Mike and I climbed into bed to watch this 1958 movie….hence the late blog.

Turn to God. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord.
The best is yet to come.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.

Braces:
1 year and 362 days – It was the first time the orthodontist didn’t do a thing – he just looked and said everything is great. The braces have done their job.
