Cape Town Colour Conference 2012 ROCKED!

8-06pm

Wow! It’s been quite a memorable 24 hours. The bottom line is that “Colour” 2012 ROCKED. It was so well organised, so friendly, SO Christ centred. Loved that. It was fabulous to meet so many listeners who daily tune into CCFm and who came to our table to say hello!  It was fantastic to see your faces, to hear your stories and your routine and to simply appreciate Colour with you…Allison Pass (on the left with me)  is from Elegant Plastics. The little girl in the middle came to meet ‘Aunty Helga!’ and this YOUNG lady on the right is Diane Warne who two weeks ago became a GRANNY to twins…no wonder she looks so radiant…

More friendly faces that came to visit the CCFm table. The girls in the middle all come from Malawi & the friend on the far right from Zimbabwe. I love my job!

What a privilege to have all these folk listening to CCFm. I’m only sorry that I didn’t get photos of EVERYONE who visited the table…I took this group photo and then also a photo (on the right) of Veronica (Francois Daniel’s wife) with a listener…

In between meeting CCFm listeners, the events inside the arena were nothing less than spectacular. From Left to Right – WELCOME, just before the start, then the amazing worship team and this is how 4 000 girls worship together….

In fact that worship photo needs to be a bit bigger…this is only from where I was sitting…you have to replicate the same to the left of where it was taken and all behind us…(thanks Riana!)

Amazing stuff. The girls felt special…here are the pamper zones…girls came here to have their nails painted…such fun…

Don’t you just love it?

So now it’s over, but we have ended with lots to think about, reminded of God’s love for us and the need that each of us have for a close and meaningful relationship with Him.

I was actually up at about 5-30am this morning, allowing me a lovely quiet time. This Bible verse was the first I read this morning. I abbreviated it to only the first letters of each word and I wrote those down on my Colour armband to memorise during the day…

Joshua 22:22 says “The Mighty One, God, the Lord! The Mighty One, God the Lord! He knows!”

What interested me are the capital letters, the repetition and the exclamation marks! It’s so emphatic. Taken in context it was meaningful. Standing alone, it’s profound. Friend, whatever, WHATEVER, you are going through, whoever you are, wherever you are from, you are special and important to God. He knows and values you. Your life is important. God loves you and wants you to know that.

TMOGTL! TMOGTL! HK!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
