You Magazine Article on the van Breda Murders

It’s almost 7 months since the deaths of three members  of the van Breda family. It was a vicious  attack by an axe-wielding intruder who brutally & systematically overwhelmed Rudi van Breda, followed by Rudi’s father, Martin and his mother Teresa. Rudi’s sister, Marli was severely injured, while his younger brother Henri witnessed the attack and said the intruder threw the axe at him, knocking him unconscious. He claims to have woken several hours later and called the police. He had what scratches on his arms which were later described as self-inflicted. There was no sign of forced entry either at the home or no breach of security at this gated security estate.

It has been widely suggested that Henri had something to do with the murders.

The latest You magazine (27th August 2015) has interviewed Teresa van Breda’s sister, Narita du Toit and for the first time, we get a glimpse into what was going on in the lives of the van Bredas before the tragedy and since.

I have to admit that the whole article blows open (once again) more questions than answers. There are two questions I have right now.

The one question that I am always asking is,

“Why are the police or the family not looking for the killer?”

Anyone who takes an axe and bludgeons people to death sounds like a psychopath and there is now one on the loose. Why is there not an outcry about this? Someone is getting away with murder.

The second question is,

“Who’s cell phone was found in the house with an internet search done on axe murders?”

Too many inconsistencies.

It’s a terrible tragedy and the family must still be devastated and my heart goes out to them. They have unwittingly been thrown into the public eye and their lives are forever changed. You can’t control circumstances but you can control your attitude towards them. I think they are doing the best they can and moving forward, but this still doesn’t change the fact that there is a killer on the loose and no one seems to be looking for him.

Eventually the truth will come out.

1 Peter 2:16

“Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil”

“I believe that in the end the truth will conquer.” ~ John Wycliffe

God bless.

In His Grip,

Helga
