Thursday
Today was the day…
I got more flooring down. Now most of the kitchen and living area is down, although of it still needs to set and get the grout. It’s looking great and we are very happy.
Looks just like wood, but it’s tile.
Mike meanwhile, is busy putting the final distribution board in. All the down lighters have to be put in and all the plug points wired up. Then comes all the solar, so Mike’s still got his work cut out for him. Our consulting electrician came today and connected us up to the main house, which was a big step. Mike’s also now designing my kitchen cupboards and island layout so we can start getting counter top fabricated.
It’s a lot of work to build a house!
This evening the President addressed the nation. Mainly to announce schools will be closed for a month. The only exceptions are the Matriculants who get a week off and the Grade 7s who get two weeks off.
