Tuesday
Dear Elsie
Today was the day that dawned with rain. I heard it gently falling and then there was a thud, meow, meow, meow as Raiku hastily came inside. He jumped on our bed and proceeded to give me multiple headbutts. He was very wet! I needed to change my routine, so I started work and it was only this afternoon that I braved possible drizzle and headed off for a walk. I went down to the Silvermine wetlands.
And crossed the river at the stepping stones…
Elsie’s Peak from the other side of the river…
I came home via the beach. It looked ominous as if a squall would be blowing through. When I got to the beach, I got a little wet, but that was because there were sprinklers on the beach grass!
There were several dog walkers and surfers.
It was a good walk – about 6.5km.
The other thing that happened today is the funicular guy came. He struggled up the stairs. He explained to Mike what could be done and dropped a humungous total for what it would cost! Nah, we can do it for less.
Home & dinner is done. David and Mike are watching chess. It is chilly and I’m going to put my electric blanket on.
A poignant verse from David’s song found in…
2 Samuel 22:20
He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
