Winter Office

Sunday

Today was the day…

I changed my office around. I’ve found it quite hot in my little office nook now that winter is here. By lunchtime, I’m having to close the blinds and cope with excessive glare, so I swapped the furniture to the other side of the room and it works perfectly. This is where my desk was…

And this is where it is now…

New view …

There is so much less glare this side. It’s far easier to work. Perhaps it will be the ‘winter’ configuration and I’ll change it when spring comes.

Today we went to the beach. With greater regard for possible visiting bronze whalers, I decided to swim to the lighthouse and back. You can see how shallow I stayed and check the paddlers leaving.

Later in the day, we were having tea when we saw 7 swimmers swimming from the direction of Simon’s Town to Fish Hoek. Oh wow, how I would love to try that, even if it’s from Glencairn to Fish Hoek. Most of the swimmers had belts and floats. It set me going down a rabbit warren to find out how I could join them, but I didn’t have much success. I don’t even think I’m fit enough, so for now, my morning dips will suffice.

In the evening Peter and Riana came for dinner. It’s been a good weekend. I’m ready for the new week.

1 Peter 2:9

You are a chosen people, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
