Sunday
It’s crazy that it’s the 19th January and we are having such winter weather. The pumping south-easter which turned black has caused a bit of havoc in some areas of Cape Town with stories of trees being uprooted and some buildings damaged. The temperature dropped and it’s rained, at times quite heavily, during today. Very grateful for the rain! Sea has been very rough…this is Kalk Bay through the lens of Nigel Riley…
We can expect wind all this week – really only abating on Saturday.
As for us, we had a very pleasant day. This morning we went to the Baptist Church – from today their service times have changed. They have introduced an 8am service. That time suits us – we’d been going to St. Peter’s 8am service – today we went to King of Kings BC. We really enjoyed it. It was very well attended.
This is Julian’s weekend in Cape Town. Last year he came for a couple of nights every second weekend. This year, he’s trying something new and he’s come for 5 nights. He came on Thursday night and leaves on Tuesday night, so that’s been quite fun. It’s great to see him on a Sunday.
I had a peak into my work inbox – I will have to hit the road running tomorrow morning – I have 48 emails waiting for me. That will keep me busy.
Time to wrap up the day.
Joel 2:23
Be glad, rejoice in the Lord your God, for He has given you the autumn rains in righteousness.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
