When You Are Next Angry….

Today has been a profitable organised day. It had a number of things that had to be done and they slotted comfortably into time periods allocated for them. I woke quite early, got dressed and without coffee, I went to gym.

On coming home, I made cappuccino and then just after 8am, I got to work. I had a nice little project to complete which I did in all of 50 minutes. Then it was breakfast time. At about 10-45am, I headed off to Riana’s for Bible study. Friends are great in good times and bad. We are working through Andy Stanley’s Series “You’re Not The Boss of Me.” Ever the practical preacher, he works through emotions such as guilt, envy, anger and fear. Today was the turn of anger. His conclusion is the to incorporate one simple statement into your rant the next time you are angry….it spells out how you feel and will add some understanding to both you and those around you…

I’m not getting what I want!

That’s so often key to what makes us angry. If you have anger issues and you declare that to yourself, it may be the first step in reducing your frustration.

I got home not long before 2pm in time for two work appointments – one at 2pm and one at 3pm. With those over, I celebrated the start of the weekend. After an early dinner, Mike and I walked to the Mall.

After we got home, Julian called and we had a chat.  Now it’s the blog and then it will be wrapping up the day.
