Saturday
Today was the day…
We woke late. It was such a treat to wake up later than usual. No work today! We had coffee & then walked to Fish Hoek with Julian and had breakfast at Peak café. Afterwards, browsing in the second hand shops next door, we found a perfect pair of bedside tables. They will work so well for the Seaview apartment, so we bought them.
This morning when I’d stood on the balcony, I noticed the wind was not as strong as I thought it would be, so Mike and I took our swimming costumes to breakfast. On the way home, we stopped at the beach and had a swim. It was a super low tide. The net was in place and it was lovely to swim to the barrel and back a few times.
We spent most of the rest of the day taking it easy. I did some shopping later. Not much else!
Today Google reminded me of what the build was like two years ago. March 2020
April 2021
March 2022. Courage with the wall he has built!
I’ll have to take one from further down to get a complete comparison. But it is amazing how things can grow in 2 years. I sent the half built photo to each of the guests (in the Little Lookout and the Seaview Apartment) and they were amazed.
I also meant to post this unusual photo on my blog. It’s at sunset with the sun shining on the clouds and the clouds reflecting pink onto the sea. I took it about a week ago.
Psalm 103:13-14
As a father has compassion on His children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
