It has been a really busy day, but there was something that happened that was so very helpful. The company I work for was updating their system and said that we could not work online for the duration of the day, apart from email on our cell phones. As a result, there was a lot less work to do.
I began the day by organising payment and signing the contract for the alarm company. By the time I returned they were well underway for alarming the whole house and cottage.
Julian had arrived so the three of us got stuck into finishing the fence. With three hands on deck, the fence got done and I took it on myself to fix the broken window. I scraped out the old putty, carefully took the remainder of the window out, went to the glass shop and bought a new piece along with putty and put the pane of glass back in again. I prepared the putty and Mike just had to come and neaten it up.
#391 of my 1000 thanks is that most of our security steps are complete. We will definitely sleep a little better tonight, not that we have not been sleeping well. It’s not been too bad. We will just sleep with less worry.
Here are Mike and Julian working on the fence…
As we finished off, Mike reminded me of the Bible verse that was on our wedding invitation 31 years ago…
Psalm 127:1
Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
We trust in the Lord.
In light of the circumstances, we have done what is wise.
God is good all the time. All the time, God is good!
It’s been a long day. By the time everything was finished, my work system was up and running and I did an hour’s work. Then Julian and I went for a walk and we all went out for dinner.
Now it’s time to wrap up for the day. I am very tired and bed sounds good!
These are the days!
Keep the smile going!
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
