Friday
Dear Elsie
Today was the day I got lovely photo of you from your Mom. You were on the swing at school and you were loving it! And we are all so excited to see you next weekend!
Early this morning, I got a call from our engineer. He sent our Engineer’s certificate! It took a bit of time but it’s a big step forward in getting all our new house paperwork in order.
Meanwhile, Courage and Brian have done an amazing job building the gabion baskets next to the house.
And Mike was not idle. He worked on the electrics in the cottage and he made bread.
Today, I wound down the week and the month with about a 7 hour day. It’s been a super busy month, one that was not without stress, but as we say goodbye to March 2023, we look forward to April which will bring with it shorter days both work-wise and as we find the cooler days arriving.
We did more research on what may help David today and discovered Taurine. Maybe some of the struggle is related to nerve endings and Taurine may work to alleviate that. It’s found in energy drinks, which David doesn’t want because they are loaded with caffeine, but we did find this.
So I bought 10 & he can have one a day to see if it makes a difference. Physically, this is rock bottom for him. Emotionally, mentally and spiritually it’s not, but physically, he’s never been so unable to do anything. He read someone else’s account on the Reddit subgroup ‘Long Haul Covid’. There were many similar symptoms, only much worse. David appreciates while he’s got debilitating fatigue, he is not bedridden and he can get up and down the stairs.
Psalm 90:4
A thousand years in Your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
