A few days ago, before the storm, I took a photo of the Sun Valley pond…and it was so very dry, even though there had been some rain a week before.
The morning after the storm broke (Wednesday morning) I drove past and it was damp but still didn’t have a single puddle.
By yesterday, after 24 hours of rain, there was water!
More rain is forecast tomorrow so we are hopeful that it will start filling up.
#320 of my 1000 thanks is that the rain is making an impact.
Today has been quite busy. Mike and I met Julian for breakfast. After that I worked until almost 12 which was when I went to my weekly Bible study. That was great, as always.
I left at 2pm and did a bit more work and now we have been watching the men’s semi finals of the French Open. Stan Wawrinka from Switzerland is playing Andy Murray from UK. We are watching it delayed as we paused it when we went for a walk. What the family don’t know is that I know the outcome! Wawrinka wins. Right after it, we’ll watch Rafa Nadel play Dominic Thiem, so that’s our evening entertainment.
Sometimes in life, things get a little uncomfortable. Today that happened when I got an R800 speeding fine. On the way home from the airport one Sunday, I sped up to overtake someone and got zapped. Ouch! I’ll try get it reduced by half.
When things get tough, you just have to plough on. Remain faithful and do the right thing!
Lamentations 3:22-23
The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
Amen!
These are the days!
Keep the smile going!
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
