A typical Tuesday is one where the rubbish has to be put out. That’s what happened this morning, only on Wednesday last week we had James the gardener come and fill 3 and a half bags of grass from the (very long straggly) lawn after he cut it. They went out on the road today as they didn’t fit in the bin. I once read somewhere that the dump truck wasn’t obligated to take rubbish bags that were not in the bin. When I heard the truck rumbling up the road, I went outside to make sure those bags got it in the back of the truck. Then I bought the bin in and the job was done.
It was also typical Tuesday because I did my 20 minute walk, 30 minute Grid, 10 minute cycle routine at gym. I have probably mentioned it here before – it never ceases to amaze me that six relatively straight forward exercises combined in a sequence of accumulation can turn into 30 minutes of grueling workout. Just to give you an idea of how strenuous it was: after it ended, I picked up my stuff, walked across to one of the exercise bikes, put my water on the bike along with my cell phone and towel, put my bag down, climbed on the bike and started pedalling. Then I took my gloves off (they protect my wrists) so I could take my heart rate. It was still high – 140bpm so you can imagine what it was at the very end of the Grid workout.
After gym, I had a smoothie with Riana and then came home to work, which I did until lunchtime. Mike had an appointment so he was out. In the afternoon I had 4 applicants to interview. That was wrapped up at 5pm.
Mike made spaghetti bolognaise for dinner. I think that should also become typical for Tuesday!
Another Tuesday event is the cell group that our tenant, Stuart has. The raucous laughter and bubbling mixture of voices filter up to our house. I always enjoy hearing it. Then there’s silence until about 9pm when all the departure noise starts happening and there’s more exuberance.
Lots to be grateful for. Typical of Tuesday is my gratitude of another week in Stacey’s pregnancy.
#574 of my 1000 thanks is that today Stacey is 28 weeks pregnant. Twelve weeks to go. Time is passing by so very quickly. I am a Granny in waiting! My heart is full.
Psalm 33:4
For the word of the Lord is upright, and all His work is done in faithfulness.
To God be the glory.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
