Two Weeks To Go

Stacey is 38 weeks pregnant today. Baby is due 18th May and that’s two weeks today! She had a doctor visit today and everything looks good. Our granddaughter looks so very peaceful…this is a 3D photo of her. I am thinking she could turn out to look just like Stacey did when she was a baby. She has the same sweet rosebud mouth.

#650 of my 1000 thanks is for 38 weeks and all is well. She is now 3kg.

This morning, Mike and I woke early. We played ‘guess the time’. Mike said, ‘coffee is on this!’ I said 5ish. He said 4-30am. It was 5-17am.

It was a really good cup of coffee and as I sat there enjoying each sip and reading my Bible (last couple of chapters of Judges to be exact), I embraced the moment. It’s a great time of the morning.

I did a bit of work then went to gym. It’s a new month and time to do something different, so I booked for the hour-long SHAPE class. The first half is 30 minutes of cardio played out in traditional aerobic fashion. Should have guessed that….I have two left feet, go right when we are supposed to be going left, arms go the wrong way, feet go back when they should be forward – it’s a farce! I muddled along, grinning as I went. The second half is ‘conditioning’. That was good. The funniest part was when we were on our hands and knees and had to lift a leg back. The instructor didn’t really know how funny her instruction was when she kept saying ‘one leg only!’ Have you tried being on your hands and knees and lifted both legs back? I want to see a bunch of middle-aged women do that! I laughed my way through it. Will I go again? Maybe. The Grid is 30 minutes and I think is more effective. While the aerobics got me going, I’m better at doing the Grid.

After getting home, having breakfast, washing and working, I went to Bible study, which was great. It was in Clovelly, so Mike went to the driving range at Clovelly Country Club and picked me up on the way home. Love my friends.

The afternoon unfolded happily. I did a bit more work, then cooked dinner and we watched The Good Wife. Now Mike is working. Truffles is on my lap. Forget about Good Wife, this is a Good Life!

Psalm 119:76

Let your unfailing love comfort me, just as you promised me.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
