That’s how I have felt about my afternoon activities. It means I’m going backwards. I’m working on a fabulous project and am filling interview slots but today I’ve knocked off the list more than I have put on. That’s where the two steps forward – three steps back goes.
Eventually, after another one got knocked off the list for one reason or another, I threw my hands in the air and went and lay down on my bed burying my head in the pillow, but not curling myself tightly into the fetal position!
I have to say, I did shake my head and laugh at the same time.
This is crazy!
But you know what, it’s times like these that Mike’s words ring through my mind – ‘just pray and ask the Lord’ he said. He said that a while ago when I was wringing my hands in shock at having such a challenge before me.
As I lay on my bed, a quiet resolve rose in me – I must just trust the Lord.
It will work out in the end.
One thing that I do realise is that we worry over so many things that don’t need to be worried over.
Another thing I have found over and over again is that if I pray, something supernatural happens in regard to peace that comes over me.
I don’t need to worry!
And so today, I think, on the eve of my 52nd birthday, I may turn off my computer at the end of the evening and I may leave it like that until Sunday.
Work has been extremely busy over the last month and when I calculated all the days worked in October, it turned out there were only TWO that had no work done on them at all! Shock!
I need to rest, but I do love the work and the challenge spurs me on to greater action.
#80 of my 1000 thanks is SLEEP! What a treat to wake up after a good night’s sleep and feel refreshed.
#81 of my 1000 thanks is a soft pillow in which to bury my head when it all seems too much! Yay!
#82 of my 1000 thanks is that Mike got the tanks installed AND it rained last night so we started filling them up….just a little rain goes a long way!
#83 of my 1000 thanks is that I found two worms on my lettuces BEFORE they ate them all! 🙂
Lots to be thankful for! 🙂
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Thank you Jesus!
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
