A year or two ago, Turducken was all the rage over Christmas. It costs a lot per kilo and is a combination of turkey, duck and chicken, hence ‘tur-duck-en’. Today I went shopping and the grocery store had cooked a turducken and was selling it sliced….
It doesn’t look that great in the photo, does it?! But it was really tasty done in a sweet and sour sauce.
Look at this incredible deal of a price for cooked turducken…
As I sit and wrap up this blog, David is somewhere between Middlepos and Sutherland. He started on the return journey a couple of hours ago with the intention of cycling through the cool of the day and into the night. With a full moon tonight and a headlamp, he should have no problem seeing where he is going. The trip is mainly uphill so I can imagine that he is going to take a few hours longer getting back to Sutherland than going. 83km is no small feat, uphill on a gravelly road. His plan is to stop somewhere along the road and get some sleep under the stars before completing the journey tomorrow. You understand how much I’ll be praying! This morning in our prayer meeting Jackie read this psalm…
Psalm 91:9-13
9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
He is not alone.
And neither are you.
In His grip,
Helga 🙂
