Treasures of Cape Town for sure. Yesterday, Julian and I drove through to see Granny and then spent a leisurely few hours strolling through the Company Gardens. Cape Town at her best…
We stopped at the pond and enjoyed the cute young goslings…
Egyptian geese are everywhere…
And the squirrels are so tame. This photo was taken with no zoom and I did not crop it after I’d taken it. I just went straight up to this guy and snapped away…
This is one of my favourite statues in the Gardens…
One side of the bottom has this inscription…It’s 148 years old…
And the other has this Bible verse…
Then there’s this Japanese Stone lantern…
Nearly 81 years old…Massive rubber tree…from Indonesia…
This building is over the fence on Queen Victoria Street. It could be anywhere in Europe…
It’s 115 years old…built in 1898
Young ducks having a siesta nearby…
And finally, we arrived at the SA Museum and Planetarium. What an amazing place. We saw a 45 minute presentation about identifying the stars of the sky. The universe is so big. How can people believe there is no God when you see how small we are and how big the world is. The most amazing feature in the Museum is this massive 20 metre long real skeleton of a Blue Whale…
It looks like something out of Jurassic Park! Below it are massive whale jaw bones.
What a wonderful city! And to think, I live here! Humbled and appreciative!
Nehemiah 9:6 “You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.”
Amen!
God bless you loads!
In His Grip!
