Who would believe it?! I have not had chocolate for 5 weeks. It was time for a treat! Eating low carb and high fat took an adjustment. Initially, it was tough finding food to eat that suited my stomach, but eventually after 3 weeks of experimenting, things settled down, I felt great and didn’t crave chocolate at all. The last two weeks have been good! Yesterday I decided I would have a little ‘treat’ …
This is great chocolate! Really good, top quality. Best there is. So I had one square and then later 3 more!! My body has been hit by a wave of sugar overload and it does not feel good! Apart from just generally feeling a bit nauseous, I have a slight headache and a bit of joint pain! What’s with that?! The chocolate tasted good, but the sugar content is so not worth it! Toxic chocolate….not the chocolate itself – this chocolate is the best money can by, but certainly the sugar in it!
The Bible says an interesting thing: Proverbs 25:27 It is not good to eat much honey, nor is it glorious to seek one’s own glory.
Good advice. What was very interesting is that I have had a few people asking me how LCHF way of eating fits in with what the Bible says. Apart from the above verse, there’s also the story of Daniel. Daniel and his three friends refused the king’s rich food & wine, in favour of veggies and water. This was said of them: (Daniel 1:15) At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food.
