Today has been a grumpy day! I’ve had to keep pulling back and putting on my happy face! π So much so that I forced myself toΒ laugh out loud on my way home! A number of things went wrongly mainly technical and with my desktop computer on my upstairs desk! Grrr! Hopefully Pierre will sort them out, so by the time I get there tomorrow they will be fixed.
The day was sunny and repairs to Muizenberg Station continue…
When I got home, I was determined to make this day BETTER! I immediately got onto the phone to the standard bank insurance and determinedly hung on for 12 minutes until I got to my place in the queue. At last we will be paid out for the hot water cylinder which burst on 3rd March in the middle of David’s 21st! Then I phoned Stacey to find out who fixed her washing machine. She said no one – she couldn’t find anyone who actually was helpful. I googled it, emailed a guy and now Karl is coming to fix one of the two broken washing machines that stand forlornly at the van Niekerk residence!….
So that was TWO things done! I then went onto my computer and made an invoice out for a company we do some work for (on a very casual and non-frequent basis) and I sent it off! BOOM! That was number three! I have half finished my show and I’ve peeled potatoes for dinner. David has been seconded into making tea for Granny (it’s got something to do with the Switchfoot tickets! ) and after this blog, I’m going down to the shops to buy milk, sugar, beans, soap, weetbix, chocolate, coffee, fruit and veggies!
The day has certainly improved! YeaH!
Grumpy days will always come, but it’s what you do with them that counts. Choose to be happy! This is last night’s beautiful sunset…Quite spectacular…
Psalm 118:24 This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
THIS is the day…not tomorrow, yesterday or next week! TODAY!
Rejoicing, in His Grip,
Helga xx π
