Thursday
Today was the day
That one set of guests left and a party of 5 arrived. Ruth came to clean the cottage. The guests who were leaving left early, which was a great help and they left the place spotless. Mike and I went down early and changed out the linen, made up all the bed and restocked the essentials. When I went back at lunchtime to check all was ready, I found it was. Loft windows on a sunny day. Even though we know this place, I still get excited about seeing the view!
Loft beds…
The stairwell got the flowers painting…
We are getting there!
As we didn’t go swimming today, I worked 10 hours. I had two online appointments and was a few minutes late for the first one, because the guests arrived. I ran down the stairs to welcome them, gave them a quick tour and then ran back up for my meeting. Once those meetings were over, the stress all leaked out. It wasn’t the only time this week, I needed to destress.
The other day I woke up feeling like a wound up spring. It was difficult to shake off. Mike and I went to the beach and I started to swim. As I got going, I started to feel the stress leak out. I left it behind in the water! Exercise is a great stress-reliever.
Tomorrow, hopefully the wind will be a little less tomorrow and we’ll be able to enjoy another beach excursion.
Right now, it’s time for bed.
Psalm 33:18
The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hoe is in His unfailing love.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
