The Plot Contours are Wrong

Just as well Mike is involved in this build. Left to Julian and I it would not be quite as organised I can tell you that. Mike wrote an email to the builder, the engineer and the piling company because he realised that the contours he had used for the plans were taken from aerial photography way up in the sky and they could be very different in reality.

Turns out they are out by 1 metre in places. Today there was meeting between the builder and the piling company and the surveyor is going to be called in to double-check before going ahead. Fortunately, it appears we will still be within our 10m height restriction and it is such early days there is time to make a plan if needed.

So grateful for Mike. First he started saying he was worried the contours were wrong. Then he wrote an email to everyone. No one replied. Then he got me to whatsapp the builder to see if he had read the email.

Then everyone realised what he was on about and jumped into action. We trust the builder, but I also trust Mike’s judgement in these things. Love this guy…he’s a keeper!

There is rain coming.

I went outside this morning and emptied some of the tank water onto the lawn.

My teeth  are feeling better today. The only issue is eating. My bite is going to be wonky for a bit I think, but eventually it will feel normal again.

It’s been an easy work day. I worked 7 hours and 30 minutes.

Julian is arriving this evening, so I’m going to wrap this up and nip out for milk.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

You are loved.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.
