Sunday
Today was the day…
That was busier than usual for a Sunday. It was an Airbnb work day. Ken left the Little Lookout early, so I zipped in there and changed the linen as the main guests may have needed a spot to put their luggage after they checked out at 10am. Turns out they didn’t. Before they checked out, I had a video call with Stacey and Elsie which was cool.
After the lovely cottage guests said goodbye, I got stuck in there and got the place ship-shape in an hour and a half. Mike helped.
It had been a bit of a rough night because the party people who checked into the Airbnb next door got 10/10 on how to be really bad guests. They were so loud. It was so unfortunate for the family in the house the other side of them, because they were there for a lovely weekend which turned out to be spoiled because of the rowdy party going on next door.
At 1:15am, I cringed because some of the party guests started leaving and there was loud shouting from the balcony to the drive way to the road. I was hoping my guests were not disturbed. I messaged the agent who was very apologetic. Clearly he was getting complaints from different sources. This morning before 7am, the rowdiness continued. They had also parked on our kerb, both sides of our garage, which didn’t go down well with us. Eventually, the agent had had enough and called the police. When the police arrived, the shouting got even louder, but this afternoon, they have been largely under control. They’ve been told that if there is one more complaint, they need to leave the property. They check out tomorrow, so we only have to endure one more night. When my new guests arrived, I told them there may be some noise from the neighbour and literally at that moment, there was shouting! At least they ship on out tomorrow, while my guests are here til Friday.
Meanwhile, one of the highlights of the day was a whale flapping its tail close by. It was just in front of the house in the middle of this picture.
It’s been a busy day and now it’s time to rest (apart from compiling dinner).
Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…to Him be glory forever and ever.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
