The Morning Venus Kissed the Moon…

When I stepped outside into the warm balmy predawn of this morning, I did what I always do – I looked up. The blanket of stars shone brightly,  but nothing compared to the surprise of the morning star of Venus creeping up to kiss the moon.

It was a phenomenon that was expected by the experts, but not by me…and many others. I had lots of calls and smsses from people admiring and appreciating it. The early bird catches the worm! astroblogger.blogspot.com showed it like this…

Space.com showed the satellite view….

It was going to be seen from various parts of the world…Earthsky published this picture on their Facebook Page…

It’s not just a nice thought that God knows the starts by name. It’s a fact. He named them:

Psalm 147:4

 He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.

Imagine that for a moment. The stars are uncountable, yet they all have names. If God knows each star by name, can you imagine how much more He knows and cares for us?
