The Gabion Baskets Have Grown

Tuesday

Today was the day…

I worked 8-9 hours, so it was a busy work day and it will continue to be tomorrow. I’m grateful for lots of work!

It was a month ago (just about) when I put up the last pictures of the gabion basket retaining wall that Courage and Brian have been working on. Look at before and what they are like now!

August 26th…

August 30th…

September 16th…

October 3rd…

Last week…

And they have grown since then. Courage and Brian are strong! They source massive rocks from the mountain and they break them up to create these big rectangular rocks. We had the engineer out and he approves.

Tomorrow the land surveyor will be here bright and early. He has some levels to measure so we get the funicular lane right.

Meantime, today was the film shoot at the beach. The wind was blowing, but from early massive film trucks lined the beach road, although it was later in the day that we saw bunches of surfers running into the surf. Repeat! Run into the surf. Repeat! I watched through the binoculars for a few minutes but couldn’t spot the cameramen. I can’t see the beach in front of the restaurant from our balcony so I’m not sure what was happening there. There was a lot of lining up of surfers and running into the water, getting out and doing it again. I’m not sure if they will continue tomorrow. I’ll be watching to see.

And that’s that for today.

1 Peter 2:9

You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
