Today has been ‘crazy Wednesday.’ I’m about to leave for the airport to pick up Julian. This morning I did a bit of work and then Thembisa came. She needed a ride across to Echo to clean the cottage ahead of J’s arrival. I did that, then came back and worked. David popped in for a visit and I had a very good cup of coffee. At lunchtime, I took Thembisa to the station and then went to gym. On getting home there was more work waiting for me. I got stuck into that, then made dinner, ate and believe it or not, have tried to catch up on more emails that are waiting for me.
Mike has a saying that ’email becomes your boss’. It controls you. Truth! The thing is that when you are working remotely, there is no other way of doing it. I am being peppered from all directions – north, east, west and south – applications need processing.
What a blessing. I do not take it for granted. I worked hard to get this job and I am throwing the required hours back at it. 🙂 There are enough hours in the day. Coffee helps – although this was last year!
I had to zip out and pick up Julian. He came back had a cuppa coffee and now has left for Echo.
#627 of my 1000 thanks – the ability and the pleasure of taking a drive to the airport. What a beautiful balmy Cape Town evening. It was a treat. Let me never take for granted the privilege of living in this City.
Isaiah 43:2
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
That certainly is encouragement for today.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
