10-44am
After waking early this morning, I got up & made chicken a la king & veggies for lunch. Then dressed & Mike and I drove to town to see Granny.
I have to tell you, my heart was in my boots walking up the stairs, not knowing what to expect of Granny today. We were surprised. She was far more alert than yesterday & did a great deal of staring at us with wide eyes. I don’t know if she recognised us but she did look at us very intently. I managed to get her to take 45ml of Ensure, but she struggles to swallow & now sounds very congested so I don’t want to give her any more.
This is the view from the ward window…
It is very peaceful here. I read to her from John 1, but she didn’t seem to hear or notice it. Vs 12 was always very meaningful to me:
“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God…”
It’s special reading out of Granny’s Bible and seeing all her notes.
There’s nothing else to say except we carry on. We trust God and wait for His timing on this. He is faithful.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
