10-56pm (Yes!!!! It’s nearly midnight!!!!) WAY WAY past my bedtime!
The day was mainly marked by the lack of water from before sunrise to after 1pm! Mike & I nipped down to the Mall to buy in 5 litres of drinking water which allowed us to fill the kettle and ensure Granny had her morning tea! 🙂
Later we went for a drive to find out where the problem was. We didn’t have far to go. A burst water main, beneath the paving of some poor resident’s drive way just near Sun Valley Primary School…
In order to dig the hole, they had to bring in the big guns…

In the background, you can see the new blue plastic piping destined for replacing the rotten pipes, which we found up the road…
To think our water was flowing past that corrosion. And then to make matters worse, we find another spot where the municipality were busy fixing a second burst water main…
Thankfully, they were done by around 1pm and we got our full strength water supply back by mid-afternoon!
The day ended on a high. We went to dinner with Brian and Joey who had also invited Alison and Theo! A wonderful time of food and fellowship! What a treat! 🙂
Now we are home. Time for me to wrap up and head for bed! Here is a verse from my Bible reading today…
