I don’t often click on what’s described as ‘link bait’…videos with provocative titles that urge people to click on them. But this one I clicked on and I’m so glad I did. It’s a real tear jerker, so just know you have been warned…
That’s feel-good Friday for you!
Ephesians 1:5
“He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will”
Child of God.
This video was from 2012, so Jacob is no longer 10 months old, but rather a growing toddler. The real nitty gritty of parenthood will be setting in for the Chens, but the sweet taste of having the desires of one’s heart met will I am sure be there for all the years of parenting to come.
The passing of time brings great perspective. The Chens tried for 9 years to fall pregnant. Now they have a toddler. Life is not always going to turn out the way we expect it to. In fact, it seldom does.
Throughout the turmoil of life, keep trusting God for your future. When we trust Him fully, He gives us the ability to cope will all of life’s problems. He will see us over the finish line. When we seek Him daily, He gives us daily grace to face issues we were not expecting in our lives. His grace is sufficient. Will we always be happy? Maybe not! There may be great pain and heartache in the course of our lives, but God wants us to be happy and the only way we can achieve that is to cling to Him. Only He is able to make all joy abound when there is no joy to be had. There are a few verses in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 about suffering that speak volumes…
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.…”
What we suffer is for a greater purpose. God never wastes pain. He will use yours to comfort others.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you today!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
