Today has been a soupa day. Right now, there is a large pot of veggie soup bubbling and boiling away on the stove….
For those outside of Cape Town who happen upon my daily comments, a storm is brewing. It is already raining and more is due, so it’s the ideal day for soup.
Mike & I have just arrived home from a shopping trip across the city. We started off spending an hour or two at Makro. This is one of my least favourite places. It’s so hot and stuffy inside and I never enjoy going there. But Mike loves it. We always buy too much. My rule that I try employ is that it has to be consumable or wearable. We don’t need more stuff. We have been trying to source a reasonably priced LED projector. Makro didn’t have one. So off we went to Kenilworth to Game where we found just what Mike had been looking for for months. Yay! Win. Finally, we stopped off at our local store for some groceries.
Good to be home and drinking tea and now out of the rain and the traffic.
My favourite photo of the day has to be of Truffles. We have a storeroom in our house which is the home of Julian’s books. Being a book dealer, he buys books every time he is in Cape Town and stores them at our house until such time as he has enough to fill half a container and they get trucked up to Johannesburg. For Truffles it is a wonderful place where she won’t get disturbed. I do hope she’s not disturbing the books though….quite the queen of the castle…looking so smug up there!
Not much more to say except,
Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want…
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
