….then I opened the DHL package…and took out the contents, only to only find my OLD passport complete with dreadful photo. I couldn’t believe it! I was telling David and he grabbed the old passport and looked at the photo and agreed! Photo’s terrible. You DON’T need to see it! 🙂 There was a note inside all of this…
So I guess I’ll have to wait a little longer!
I have been asked how Yvonne, Mavis’s stand-in, is faring. Very well, I tell you! She chivvies Granny along something chronic, which Granny is not wild about. But her main strength is sorting the house out. That she does well. She’s not afraid of hard work and I appreciate that VERY much. She’s got the house sorted out and when Mavis get’s back next Wednesday, I’ve asked her to come in an extra day or two to do some literal ‘in-house’ training!
After the show this morning, I went, as usual to my ladies’ Bible study group. Riana had made this amazing Lemon Sponge Cake with Lemon curd oozing out of it and iced with roses…
It was as delicious as it looks! We have one planned for Granny’s 88th birthday on 7th August! 🙂
Riana’s beautiful orchid added a splash of colour on a grey and rainy day…
I was so tired, I left Bible study right after an excellent Andy Stanley DVD and headed to the Mall. Believe it or not, I had to stop and wait for this fellow to get out the way…
Home & in bed with my netbook and some work plans… I’m going to tune in to US morning radio and see what they are up to. Perhaps get some new ideas for Rise and Shine. I’m still very tired, so may sneak in 40 winks.
This morning, I read Romans 6:23: –Â For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
Interpreted as what a man deserves – what he has earned – is death. But it doesn’t end there! God offers us a gift – offers us the opportunity of taking eternal life instead of death, in Christ Jesus. The choice is ours. Pray and ask God for His indescribable gift. He’ll give it to you freely!
God bless you and have a fabulous weekend!
In His Grip,
Helga x 🙂
