Monday
Dear Elsie
Today was the day you made spring rolls! So many fun things to learn. You have got so tall.
This morning I got up quite early and went down to the Seaview Apartment to get the linen up for washing. The next guests come tomorrow and I wanted to get the extra blanket washed. The day was sunny but cool and that was thanks to the snow on the distant mountains. The Fish Hoek photographers with the big lenses will soon show up. My cell phone doesn’t do it justice.
But it wasn’t only our mountains that had snow. Julian sent me this one. Tiny little teensie weensie snow flakes falling in Johannesburg.
That was cold. Julian said about 1C.
And then another photo landed on my phone. Swellendam mountains have also had a snowfall.
It must be cold there too.
The main event of the morning was watching David’s Chess YT channel get to 1000 subscribers. I watched it pass 987
and finally…
That made him very happy!
Yesterday after a lovely tea with John and Avril we went to the Berettas where I was a little surprised that the ever crotchety, sometimes snappish Meggy chose me to sit next to, allowing me to stroke her head. Her body language is still not very friendly, but she chose to sit next to me!
I’ve worked 8 hours and now it’s time to close down my laptop and enjoy the evening.
Psalm 126:6
Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx
