Silvermine Waterfall in Full Flow

Sunday

Dear Elsie

Today is Father’s Day and it was your Oupa’s birthday so you had a happy day celebrating both events.

Back in Fish Hoek, I did another two walks today. The first was to Harbour Bay. I walked across Glencairn Beach…

This river running under the Glencairn bridge is known as Else’s River

I found a photo of the area in 1910 on this website – https://gosouth.co.za/glencairn-the-early-years/ That’s the Glencairn Hotel built in 1905

I did the shopping at Harbour Bay and started my return walk. The plan was for Mike to pick me up. He was following me on Google and he found me just before Dixies. It was a good walk.

But my walking was not over. This afternoon we went to the Silvermine Waterfall (Gate 2 side). We haven’t been there for 8 years. The amount of water coming off the mountain was phenomenal & the track is wet.

Stepping stones…

The waterfall hidden amidst the surrounding shrubbery…

The bubbling brook above the waterfall…

Everything is so green…

Down at the waterfall…

Steps back up to the path…

It was a lovely afternoon walk.

I’m ready for the new week.

Psalm 119:90
Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
