Wednesday
Dear Elsie
Today was the day the sun rose casting a very red hue across the sky. Red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning.
I went down to the beach for a swim and towards the end, it rained. It’s always lovely swimming in the rain on a warm summery day. The water was warm, the air temperature was fine – there was just a little rain. The rain had stopped by the time I got out. It was lovely. Home to make egg and bacon for breakfast. David moved upstairs for the week. Ruth came to clean and Mike and Courage got stuck into reinforcing a wall. After all the rain last winter, a crack began to appear…
Mike had the engineer check it. He laughed. He didn’t think it was anything significant. But it does go all the way down the wall.
Mike decided to reinforce it. He made boxing for the cement..
And today he and Courage made cement and did the pour…
It now shouldn’t get worse…
So that was a big thing achieved. Courage went home with a spring in his step. Mike had a lie down! Courage said Mike is the strongest madala he knows!
A good day all round, especially as I finally think SARs has my new bank details. I had to jump through a number of hoops. I had to do that whole thing of taking a photo of myself with my ID book & writing their verification number on it with today’s date. I had to get a bank letter and then email the whole lot plus my ID and proof of address to get the change done. Hope for the best.
Psalm 34:19
A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
