Red Tide

Monday

Today was the day….

That made me think summer had arrived, full on. It was sunny and warm and by 7:11am, Mike and I were walking to the beach. I only swam for 25 minutes. I’ve got a little niggle in my left shoulder and didn’t want to push it. We were home close to 8:30am. During the course of the day, one thing became obvious – with the warmth, came Red Tide. When this kind of tide comes in, there is usually amazing bioluminescence at night, when the organisms in the red tide shine an iridescent blue producing a spectacular display along the line of the breaker. It’s quite something to behold. However,  I’ve heard via the internet grapevine that there is not a lot to be seen tonight. There is a little, but not a great amount so not worth the walk down to what is a very busy beach.

It was a warm day and perfect for washing. The cottage guests left. I stripped the bed and put on the washing. It dried in no time. Later in the day, we made up the beds and I’ve sorted a whole lot more linen in readiness for the Little Lookout which is taking shape very nicely. If tomorrow’s weather is also warm, I’ll wash all that linen and may even go as far as making up the bed.

Courage and Mike started cleaning the cottage roof. The Loft gets pretty toasty. Once the roof is clean, the internal temperature may be a few degrees cooler.

The calmness of the day lasted beyond dinner time. It’s the third time over the last month that we have had dinner on the balcony.

A good work day.

I saw this on Facebook the other day…books vss kindles…

Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
