R125 046 – Share-a-thon Day 4 & A Good Laugh With Granny!

1-38pm

This morning’s Share-a-thon session was between 9am & 12 noon. Quiet in places, we ended on R125 046 about R14 000 up on the same day last year! TGBTG!

They say laughter is the best therapy and let me tell you IT IS! One of the huge sacrifices I’ve made today was knowing I was leaving Granny at home alone while I was ‘share-a-thonning’. Mavis only told me yesterday that she had to go to the hospital at 8am, so she came in early, got Granny up and left at 8. So Granny was alone from 8am until I arrived home at 12-40. I quickly made her tea and toast. She was tickled pink and laughed when she saw the toast…

She is Eve Estelle! I was reminding her who she is! She recognised her initials immediately and was delighted! Small things!!

That wasn’t the end of the laughter with Granny…I was busy doing emails, making phone calls and starting this blog when I noticed her squirming around…

She was trying to take her jersey off, but it was under her jacket and she couldn’t figure out why she couldn’t get it off!! She didn’t want to disturb me but she soon got hopelessly stuck….we had such a good laugh…

When I took this photo, she was laughing her head off! (Don’t worry I did help her!)

Proverbs 17:22 says A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

🙂

With all the serious Share-a-thon adrenaline rushing through my veins this week, as soon as I start to relax, I can identify with Mrs Bennett in Pride and Prejudice….  ‘I have such tremblings and flutterings. Such spasms and beatings at my heart, that I can get no rest either night or day!”  Mike has suggested I don’t go and nap this afternoon but take a walk instead.  Seeing as I need to buy some food for dinner, I may just take a WALK to the Mall.

So that is next on the agenda!

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
