Sunday
Today was the day…
I finished the puzzle! Yeah! The end game was not as I thought it would be. This morning there were 21 pieces left…
I happily sat and found spaces for them…
I soon discovered that there were a few pieces that fitted in multiple spots. I went right down to 3 pieces left, only to discover that they didn’t fit the three spaces. It led to me having to undo sections and try again. Eventually, 8 pieces remained…
And soon, it was down to this last piece…
Puzzle complete!
Last time I did this puzzle (about 2 decades ago), there was one piece missing. Today they were all there, so that missing piece must have got stuck in the corner of the box. I felt very satisfied. Slow but sure wins the race. This was 6th April…
I can tell you it looked daunting and I almost regretted starting it and actually putting in on my blog. I didn’t think I would finish it. I went slowly and methodically working on small sections and sorting through colours. With time and patience, the picture was complete. I think we’ll see the same when we get to the end of our lives and we see how God has put together our earthly puzzle to make it quite complete. Right now it certainly seems pretty muddled down here. We can’t quite figure out what’s going on. But the Lord has the final picture in mind. He doesn’t waste pain and He has a plan regardless of the chaos that seems to pervade the world right now.
I had a lovely Mother’s Day. I went walking this morning – the world is more silent these days. It’s hard to have audible conversations with masks on. Muffled ‘Good mornings’ with smiling eyes are the best you get. It was good to get out though.
We did church online, Mike made lunch and I did a bit of work, which allows for an easy transition into the new week. And now I’m going to Skype with Stacey and Elsie.💛
The new Corona stats for South Africa have not been released for today, so we remain at a total of 9420 with 186 deaths. 3983 people have recovered, leaving 5251 active cases. 324070 tests had been done up to yesterday, with 525 positive results. How accurate these stats are is not quite know. We’ll see what today brings.
Psalm 86:6 – a good prayer for today.
Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
