Productive Monday

This morning, Mike woke up early. He thought he had heard a noise, so he went to investigate. It was just the neighbours getting up and going to work. I was the winner as he bought me a cappuccino. Mike’s cappuccino is the best! They now come in our new mugs.

We had our quiet time and I made my moves on Words for Friends. Then I got up and got working. I worked until about 9-30am/10ish before having breakfast and watching some cricket. South Africa were on the brink of beating Australia and it absolutely was worth watching.

Then I went to gym. I ran 7km in a rather leisurely 52 minutes (and 13 seconds) at a pace of 7:27. With the cool down I burned a whopping 600 calories, or so the treadmill said.

After the run, I chose 10 machines and did 2-3 sets on each. It was quite tough. I read an article on the CNN website about how to build muscle as age tears it down. Here’s the link. One of the things they said was, “to build muscle, you need to choose a weight or level of resistance that you have a hard time performing more than 10 to 15 times in a row. At the end of each set, you should feel tired and need to rest.” Now that I’ve looked up the article again, I think I did too much exercise and not enough resting!

I came home and had a shower. We were about to win the cricket so I watched that. Then I went to the mall and had an eye brow tint and leg wax. I know that’s probably overshare, but it certainly added to the productivity of the day. I was so glad to get it done! I also did some shopping.

Came home, did some work and made dinner.

I also went out and picked up something I bought from a Facebook post. That’s tomorrow’s story.

The day is just about done!

#594 of my 1000 thanks is for the eyebrow tint and leg wax. Boom!

Acts 15:11

We are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.

That’s something to cherish.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
