People Look At Me Funny!

I think I know why I love golf so much, not to play, but rather to caddy. People look at me funny when I say I love caddying…. and it is the most commonly asked question I get, “when are you going to play?” And I figure my answer will always be, “I don’t think I will.” I love caddying for Mike. It’s great to get outdoors and serve him by being on the bag. It’s such fun to rejoice in the good shots and commiserate in the bad. On the golf course, I am useful! And Mike loves me going with him. I love being their. Win-win…which is what you are always aiming for in marriage! 🙂

After a spectacular sunset last night…

Mike and I were at Simonstown Golf Course for a lovely sunrise…A bunch of cyclists were also out early to enjoy the windfree conditions on the way to Cape Point…With the sun rising fast, the first hole lay ahead……and we were on our way. Mike played really well, finishing two under his handicap. It’s been great fun watching him improve over the last few months.

We’re home now & I’ve just put a load of washing in, taking advantage of the beautiful weather. Talking of washing, we had some success…sock reunited…For some reason it was in the bottom of a washing basket! I have no idea how it go there.  It seems lost socks are common problems. Life’s too short to worry about them. Saturday is only half way through and there’s more fun to come. Right after I’ve posted this (and maybe put washing on the line), I’m off to cross stitch with friends. I’m really looking forward to that!

Yesterday in Proverbs 16:24, I was reminded of this verse:

“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”
