Out the Back and Up the Road

Friday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day the wind dropped a bit, but has picked up again this evening. Still, we got to have the doors wide open and Courage took advantage of a little less wind to wash our windows, so they are now nice and sparkly.

Courage has had a handlanger working with him and great progress has been made with the gabion baskets.

This was the start of the gabion basket project in November 2023.  It’s taken 16 months of Courage’s hard work to get to this stage. They are almost done

Staying in the garden, the porcupines have been particularly active. If we leave our courtyard gate open, they will come in. They emptied this pot…

A little succulent left behind.

We must remember to close the courtyard gate.

Up the road there has been a derelict house which was always a talking point of neighbours and walkers alike.

For many years it had a sign outside, saying it was a problem house. The sign is gone and it has been stripped and is being rebuilt. The builders have been terracing and a ton of bricks have been delivered.

It will be fun to watch it come to life.

Today I got my first pill. One small pill.

And a double spread of instructions.

It costs about R350.

And so that’s it for a productive week. Tomorrow, I’m hoping we get to swim.

Psalm 57:5
Be exalted, O God above the heavens; let Your glory be over all the earth.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
