I’m anticipating that one day I may wake up and suddenly realise that I never wrote the blog the day before! So full was today with activity that today could have been that day. But it’s not!
The day began quite late. By the time Mike and I had had coffee and read our Bible, it was almost 8am! After working for an hour, we went out for breakfast and after coming home got on with the work. I have done more than 7 hours work today. We had dinner and went for a walk. I decided to try out a new product I found on the Food Lover’s shelf today. While making it a short while ago, I suddenly remembered I hadn’t done the blog. So this was the product I discovered…
It comes with 6 sachets. I gave Mike about a third and I had the other 2 thirds.
Mike said, “interesting” after he had tasted it, but didn’t follow it up with “it’s not for me” which is what he may usually do when he doesn’t want to eat sugar free Banting products. This means he may try it again….I think. I had it with cream, but it probably should have been whipped cream.
The other thing I’ve been doing of late in my ongoing, life-long attempt to regain my pre-wedding (31 years ago) weight (ha ha – I don’t think I will ever see 58kg again in this life anyway!) is to get back onto My Fitness Pal. It’s a website where you log everything you eat and try keep below your goal calories for the day, which in my case is 1200. You can earn more by exercising! It is very effective for putting on the brakes. The other night, when Julian was here, we went out for dinner and I had the roast pork belly. I looked on my cell phone My Fitness Pal app to see how many calories I was in for! Gasp! It was a lot, so I ended up taking half of it home. My Fitness Pal has really been the only effective way for me to lose weight. On Banting I did not lose weight. But the benefits of cutting carbs are never far from my mind, so I try and do both – cut carbs and log my calories. High fats are high calories, so you end up finding the balance.
We’ll see how successful I am!
#309 of my 1000 thanks – today I suddenly got another whiff of how blessed I am to have the job I’ve got. I went outside to Mike who was working on the balcony and said to him, “I can’t believe I’ve got this job!” Grateful!
Psalm 9:1
I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
