1-53pm
It’s been overcast and drizzly in Cape Town. It was not enough to put me back in boots. Today has been a busy day for me. I had gym from 8-30 to 9-30am. I left 10 minutes early, bolted home, showered and dressed and then headed for Observatory to Cape Town TV for a 10-30am meeting. I’m project managing their Telethon which is 4 weeks away! Eek. When you support Cape Town TV, you support Cape Town! Since I’ve been doing this, I’ve been watching CTV. Last night, I watched a programme on Lupus -Susan van der Walt pioneered treatment for Lupus in South Africa. After being diagnosed with Lupus , she went to the USA for treatment and received a drug called Benlysta. Not available in this country, she fought for it to be allowed in SA. It was such an inspirational story. You can read more at www.eaglesflightministry.co.za. It’s that kind of feel good – bringing hope story that needs financial support. They need to raise money to help run the station. TV is more expensive than radio. Their Telethon is from 21st to 26th October!
That kept me busy for the morning. I then drove to Christian Book Discounters and picked up Beth Moore CDs. To get there, I had to pass this amazing building…
Rondebosch Boys Preparatory school – in existence since 1897. A beautiful building.
Mike took today off and so we had coffee on my return. My friend, Debbie (mentioned in yesterday’s pic) phoned to say hello. That was cool. After the blog, I’ve got some Odesk work lined up and then Mike wants to go and play 9 holes of golf. So I hope to get on that boat too!
My Bible verses of choice from this morning’s reading, come from Isaiah 46:9-10
“Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.”
We stand poised in a moment of time – from ancient times to 6000 years from now. As God knows what is behind, He knows what is ahead. Will you trust Him with your moment?
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
