Okay, I have decided that if you, family, friends and countrymen ever want to buy me ANYTHING, I have got the ideal gift. I have decided that THIS is my ALL TIME favourite sweet!
The picture on the left is the leftover wrapping of the one I have just demolished. The picture on the right is the stock photo from the Woolworths website. You see, I don’t want just any liquorice twists, the BEST ones EVER are from Woollies. They are just so juicy and liquoricy! Their website says they cost R14-99, so this is a good gift for my birthday in November! 🙂
I was on the phone to Mike earlier, waxing lyrical about this amazing liquorice. He has just arrived home, bringing with him….

Actually liquorice and I go WAY back. It was something I became completely, utterly and altogether hooked on when I was pregnant with Stacey (more than 24 years ago!). In my final months of pregnancy, almost every day I would go to the little garage shop down the road and buy a stick of liquorice. Ever since then, I’ve liked it, but since tasting the Woolworths brand, I’m hooked again! I will try and restrict myself to 1 x strip a day, so a packet lasts 5 days…until the novelty wears off. Yum!
So apart from liquorice, Madam Cleopatra visited the CCFm balcony today…
I also did some shopping, had a nap, cut Granny’s nails and oh, yes, the funnest part was speaking to about 15 000 people on Rise and Shine this morning! 🙂 It included a quick chat with comedian Barry Hilton. I forget my life on air is the most exciting part of my life! I love it. Best, is I get to do it all again tomorrow!
