Wednesday
Dear Elsie
Today was the day we went to the beach again, but there were no penguins or seals. there was tranquil water and beautiful clean sand.
The weather has been good enough for us to have swum 6 times since the 1st November. I’m often on Wind guru. I think tomorrow it may be too windy but Friday looks good. A break is not a bad thing.
I worked 6 hours, took the car to the SV garage and welcomed guests who are only here for two nights.
When we first moved to this house, my friend Jo made a beautiful crocheted blanket as a house-warming gift. As the cottage was so cold, through winter, it went to live there for a year or two, before I bought back up to our house and it now lives on or near my rocking chair. The cats absolutely love it. If I’m sitting on my rocking chair under the blanket, Claw’d will head straight for me. If I put it on the floor, they’ll curl up on it there. If it’s on the bed, that’s where they will head. Today, it was on another chair so I wasn’t surprised to find this…
Nothing like having a cat as a pillow.
Dinner is now done. David had what he thought was an infection on Monday. He hardly moved from his place. We were thinking it is possible his worsening symptoms were indicative of the microclots breaking down. By Tuesday morning, he was feeling better. He’s been more tired than usual and sleeping in the afternoon, so trust this is good for him. The problem could be that his body breaks down the microclots only to make a fresh batch and so round in circles we go. Anyway, we continue to trust the Lord.
Isaiah 40:4
Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
