No Intrusions This Weekend

So we survived Saturday night, although I slept on and off, listening, checking, watching – to make sure the crooks didn’t return. This morning all was well. Our floodlit garden allowed easy viewing of their favourite spots. Perhaps all our vigilance and security upgrades have worked. Only time will tell. If we wake up Tuesday morning and have got through the entire weekend without incident, it will certainly be a step in the right direction.

As we ponder the trials of the last five weeks, three things of God walking along side us come to mind.

  1. I was so very despondent when I prayed in desperation for God to ‘show me a sign – send someone I know’. Before I had finished praying, there was Riana right behind me.
  2. Then what are the chances of Mike happening to look through the bathroom window at the very moment the crook walked by? He had 5 seconds to cross that gap and Mike was in the bathroom at the exact time. It resulted in us interrupting break in number 4.
  3. And, what are the chances of us being awake at 3-30am?  Awake at the very moment the final act of attempted break in was about to happen. Instead of us waking to a noise, we were wide awake when the window was broken.

All of these ‘it just so happened!’ moments for me are the fingerprints of God. His presence. His protection. His guidance.

Nothing will happen to you without God’s presence, His permission and His purpose being worked out in your life.

Hebrews 13:5

Keep your lives free from the love of money; and be satisfied with what you have; for God himself has said, “I will never fail you or abandon you.”

Such important words to remember, from the first to the last.

#427 of my 1000 thanks is for a generous gift my company gave me to say thank you for my work this year. Blown away.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
