Thursday
Today the workers at the building site gave it a big push. I think everyone is feeling a bit of pressure. Not knowing how the Corona virus will impact work going forward, we need to get to Tuesday without any restrictions. Mike and I went down to drop something off late morning. The first thing we noticed is the branch obstructing the stairs had been neatly lopped off. Hardly noticed it was gone except ducking is no longer required…
We found the team manipulating the long heavy concrete ribs…
A second team was on the scaffolding to receive them…
A number were already in position…
This afternoon, Werner sent me a couple more photos of the progress…this is looking towards the back of the building…
And looking towards the view…
Werner says we can walk on it tomorrow only. Hmmm🤔 Me thinks we will be tempted this evening. We are on our way down there now.
And now I have just got a message from Werner to say the concrete will only come on Thursday, so let’s hope we don’t get scuttled by the virus in the next week. A whole lot of the pressure is off.
