New Half Car Registered

Tuesday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day I woke early as usual and sat in my rocking chair. One of the things I like to watch is the world waking up. The string of lights on Baden Powell drive tell me there are a lot of people driving to work around 6am. The tiny blinking of distant planes taking off and the rumble of trains all remind me of people on the move. Yesterday, I saw a boat chug out of Kalk Bay Harbour. Cars, trains, planes and boats all off to work. For me, my commute is across the room. For this reason, I took a walk around the hood.  This morning I went down 202 steps. Echo steps has 122 and we have 85. One of the prettiest pics

Down the steps, along the road, up the hill to Daisy Lane.

Daisy lane is not very daisy-ish at the moment. No daisies in sight. Maybe they’ll appear in spring. Up to Highway, down the road…

and back home… along my road which is looking very disheveled.

At least I got some steps in. Later, I took my lunchhour at the traffic  office. I got there at 12.33pm. There were 12 people in the queue.

It took me 40 minutes to get to the counter and by 1.27pm, I was done!

Home for a bit more work and now I have caught up.

I’m going to go for another little walk and then have a quiet evening. It suddenly is very quiet when Julian leaves.

The Gospel of John just keeps on giving.

John 17:3
Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
